Job description
A Snapshot of Your Day Are you an excellent team player who can plan, organize, and work in a goal-oriented manner in a global environment? Do you like to coordinate with a wide variety of interfaces and customers and can handle costs, deadlines, and quality requirements responsibly? Then you've come to the right place! With our mechanical components, we ensure that Siemens gas turbine power plants are put into operation on time, safely and efficiently. Our components include large-scale air intake and exhaust systems as well as noise enclosures, firefighting and detection equipment plus cooling components such as fin fan coolers. We are responsible for costs, deadlines and quality of these components from the start of the project to the end of the warranty.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- You are responsible for your components from order income and will be in charge till end of warranty.
- During this time, you are responsible for the costs, deadlines, and quality of your components.
- You communicate internally with technical / logistical / commercial departments and project managers as well as externally with suppliers and customers.
- You will be responsible for creating technical documents for customers and suppliers, such as tender documents as well as customer letters.
- Technical evaluation of supplier offers, technical negotiations with suppliers, review of technical drawings and assembly/operation manuals.
- You ensure that the suppliers' technical solutions correspond with the requirements of our customers and Siemens Energy.
- You will carry out inspections at our suppliers and their manufacturers in relevant cases and provide technical support for component assembly at our construction sites.
What You Bring
- You have a degree as an Associated Engineer, Dipl. Ing.,
- Bachelor or Master in the field of mechanical engineering, process engineering or comparable.
- A previously completed metalworking apprenticeship is helpful.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of professional experience in the power plant business would be desirable.
- You have advanced knowledge of MS-Office, basic knowledge of COMOS Taurus (data/documentation management) and Fabasoft.
- You also have experience with 3D tools and can work with them, prepare drawings etc.
- You already have experience in project execution, ideally in the areas of design, production, quality monitoring and scheduling.
- You can read technical drawings, understand coating/welding requirements, and conduct technical negotiations with suppliers.
- You can conduct technical inspections at workshops or sites and can check the components regarding functional and quality requirements as well as time scheduling.
- Knowledge with filtration, heat exchanger (FinFan Type), noise protection as well as firefighting incl. knowledge of standards and guidelines are helpful.
- Advanced English and german language skills and the willingness for international travels are necessary.
