About the Roles

We are seeking a Production Technician / Day Technician to join a chemical manufacturing team based in Tuas. This permanent role offers a stable Monday to Friday schedule (7.30am – 4.30pm / 8.00am – 5.00pm) with an attractive package including basic salary, site allowance, OT pay, AWS and variable bonus. The role provides an opportunity to work in a safety-focused plant environment while gaining hands-on experience in production operations and chemical handling.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Safely unload bulk raw materials into designated storage tanks.
  • Perform waste-management activities, including wastewater loading and arranging waste collection.
  • Collect water samples for laboratory analysis and approval processes.
  • Monitor, operate, and document utility system parameters.
  • Operate forklifts to move materials safely within the facility.
  • Handle chemicals, equipment, tools, and materials in accordance with safety procedures.
  • Carry out basic equipment upkeep, housekeeping tasks, and maintenance activities while maintaining 5S standards.
  • Prepare finished-goods totes for shipment, including applying labels where required.
  • Escort external contractors carrying out landscaping, pest-control, and fire-protection work in controlled areas.
  • Participate as a member of the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT).
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, safety inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, and other HSE activities.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the company.

What We’re Looking For

  • Possess GCE N/O/A Level, NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Hold a valid forklift driving licence.
  • Have hands-on experience in manufacturing or plant operations.
  • Demonstrate the ability to safely manage hazardous chemicals and use respiratory protective equipment when required.
  • Possess basic computer skills, with Microsoft Office knowledge being advantageous.
  • Be safety-conscious, quality-focused, practical, and able to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Have knowledge of workplace safety, quality, environmental, logistics, or maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SS651, cGMP, or microbial-control practices will be advantageous.
  • Possess HAZMAT, firefighting, incident-management, or CERT competency will be advantageous.
  • Be willing to work overtime and weekends when required for operations.

Experience:

  • chemical manufacturing: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:
