Arabic Speaking Senior Accountant

Role Description The Senior Accountant will manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations. The role involves monitoring cash flow, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and analyzing financial data to provide insights to management. The Senior Accountant will also coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, support audits, and help improve financial controls and reporting processes. This is a contract, on-site role based in Dubai.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and financial analysis.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, along with solid Excel skills.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external auditors.
• Relevant academic background such as a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is an advantage.
• Previous experience in a Senior Accountant or similar role, preferably within the region.
• Demonstrated integrity, reliability, and commitment to maintaining high ethical standards.
