MEP Draughtsman

Position: MEP DraftsmanJob Summary

We are looking for an experienced MEP Draftsman to prepare accurate Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing drawings for construction and engineering projects. Experience in solar / renewable energy projects will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed MEP drawings, shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Develop layouts for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, fire-fighting, and related MEP services.
• Prepare and revise drawings based on engineering designs, specifications, consultant comments, and site requirements.
• Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural, structural, and other disciplines to identify and resolve clashes.
• Support engineers in preparing technical drawings, schematics, sections, and installation details.
• Maintain proper drawing revisions, document control, and submission records.
• Update drawings based on site changes and approved modifications.
• Assist with quantity take-offs where required.
• Coordinate with engineers and site teams to ensure drawings reflect actual site conditions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / ITI / relevant technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Drafting, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience as an MEP Draftsman.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Revit MEP / BIM will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of MEP systems, technical drawings, and construction practices.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Good coordination and communication skills.

Added Advantage

• Previous experience in Solar PV / Renewable Energy projects.
• Familiarity with solar PV layouts, module arrangements, inverter layouts, cable routing, electrical SLDs, earthing layouts, and equipment positioning.
• Experience in commercial, industrial, rooftop, or ground-mounted solar projects will be preferred.

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
