The Opportunity

We are seeking a Security Operations Engineer to support a major client in Zurich. In this highly visible role, you will serve as a trusted security partner to the client, working closely with both their internal teams and Kudelski Security's security operations center.

This position is ideal for a hands-on security professional with Palo Alto experience, a passion for security operations, and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders in a client-facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary security operations contact between the client and Kudelski Security.
• Investigate and coordinate the response to security incidents and escalations.
• Support ongoing threat monitoring, detection, and response activities.
• Administer, maintain, and optimize Palo Alto security solutions.
• Develop, tune, and improve detection content, correlation rules, and security use cases.
• Perform threat hunting and proactive security investigations.
• Analyze logs, alerts, and security data to identify threats and improve visibility.
• Recommend and implement improvements to security processes, workflows, and controls.
• Provide security guidance and remediation recommendations to client stakeholders.
• Contribute to security projects that strengthen the client's overall security posture.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Security Operations, SOC, MDR, Incident Response, or Security Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto security technologies in an enterprise environment.
• Experience investigating and responding to cybersecurity incidents.
• Strong understanding of network security, threat detection, and incident response processes.
• Experience with SIEM and EDR platforms.
• Ability to analyze security logs, alerts, and network activity to identify threats.
• Strong customer-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional proficiency in German and English.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, and cloud environments is a plus.
