Dussmann Ajlan & Bros is pleased to announce a new career opportunity for the position of
Landscaping Consultant, based in the Western Region, Saudi Arabia .
Description:
- Responsible for coordinating the planning and delivery of the Landscaping Annual Maintenance Plan with the Facilities Management Service Provider (FMS) and its Sub-contractors) in compliance with industry and OEM standards. Responsible for reviewing training standards for all FMS Landscaping services staff and providing feedback against industry best practice.
- Responsible for the implementation of the PMS Procedure including observations / NCRs to ensure the FMS is complying with contractual deliverables, SLA’s and health, safety and environmental standards, to ensure a continual improvement process is fully embedded.
Technical Knowledge:
- Proficient in coordinating and implementing landscaping annual maintenance plans in compliance with industry and OEM standards. Skilled in monitoring FMS and subcontractor performance, reviewing training standards, and providing feedback aligned with best practices. Experienced in PMS procedures, observations, and NCR tracking to ensure compliance with contractual deliverables, SLAs, and HSE standards. Knowledgeable in continuous improvement processes, risk management, and operational oversight of landscaping service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on managing their landscaped and agricultural areas. Understand the client's specific needs, goals, and constraints, and suggest suitable strategies and solutions.
- • Assess the overall condition and quality of the landscape, including plants, trees, turf, irrigation systems, and hardscapes. Develop and implement sustainable landscape maintenance plans that optimize aesthetics, functionality, and cost-effectiveness, while considering environmental factors.
- • Advise clients on sustainable and eco-friendly practices to enhance the landscape's health and reduce environmental impact. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations relating to pesticide use and environmental protection.
- • Collaborate with vendors and contractors providing landscape maintenance services. Oversee their performance, ensure adherence to agreed-upon standards, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships.
- • Conduct training sessions and workshops for facility staff on landscape management practices, pest identification, prevention, and control methods. Develop educational materials such as guides, manuals, and informational brochures.
- • Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess the quality and effectiveness of landscape services. Identify deficiencies or areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions.
- • Stay up to date with industry trends, technology advancements, regulations, and best practices in landscape management. Conduct research and collaborate with other experts to enhance knowledge and expertise
- • Maintain accurate records of landscape operations, including maintenance schedules, pesticide usage, plant inventories, and service contracts. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for clients, detailing findings, recommendations, and progress.
Soft Skills Required:
- Leadership and team management, communication and stakeholder engagement, planning and organizational skills, problem-solving and decision-making, attention to detail, adaptability and resilience, training and mentoring, time management and prioritization.
Experience:
- 10+ years horticultural / landscaping experience / Agricultural experience.
- Required Experience: 5+ years of experience in multi-site facilities and grounds management, horticulture and plant care, and supervision of landscaping staff and contractors.
- Systems & Digital Tools: CAFM/FM systems and PMS tools. MS Excel, Power BI/Tableau.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree (Mandatory): BSc Horticulture, Farming or Landscaping.
Preferred: Facilities Management or Business Administration (MBA).
Preferred Certification: horticulture/landscaping certifications (e.g., RHS Level 2/3).
