About the Role

Firefly Photography is looking for a Videographer & Video Editor to work across corporate events, branded videos, interviews and short form content.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes a Producer, Videographers, a dedicated Video Editor, Account and Project Managers, Photographers and production support. Depending on the project, you may film and edit, contribute to storyboarding and planning, or focus on one part of the production while working with the wider team.

We value versatility and ownership, but you will have people to collaborate with and count on throughout the production process.

Firefly provides the cameras, lighting, audio equipment, editing workstations and studio facilities required for our projects.

What You'll Do

  • Film corporate events, interviews, branded content and short form reels
  • Set up and operate cameras, lighting and audio equipment
  • Edit videos using Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or equivalent professional software
  • Handle basic colour correction, audio, music, text and delivery formatting
  • Contribute to storyboards, shot planning and pre production when required
  • Work with our Producer, Video Editor and project team from planning through delivery
  • Maintain organised project files and meet agreed production timelines

Depending on the project, you may handle both filming and editing or focus on a specific part of the production while responsibilities are shared across the team.

Who We're Looking For

  • Around 1 to 3 years of relevant experience, or a strong portfolio demonstrating your ability
  • Comfortable operating cameras independently with a good foundation in composition and visual storytelling
  • Basic competency in lighting and audio for interviews and event production
  • Able to edit independently using Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or equivalent software
  • Reliable with deadlines and comfortable communicating with clients and team members
  • Open to feedback, learning new tools and adapting to evolving video formats

Photography, motion graphics, After Effects or more advanced production experience would be an advantage, but is not required.

Work Schedule

This is a full time, production based role . General studio hours are Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM .

  • Saturday availability is required when productions are scheduled
  • Some assignments may also take place during evenings, Sundays or public holidays
  • Call times and working hours may vary depending on the production
  • Rest days and working arrangements will be adjusted according to production schedules

During lighter periods where there are no weekend productions, work will generally be completed within the regular weekday schedule.

We aim to plan productions as early as possible, although occasional short notice assignments or schedule changes are part of production work.
