Inside Sales Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Inside Sales Engineer executes prospecting activities and provides internal sales support for assigned territories in collaboration with Field Sales Engineers, Business Development, and Regional Management. This role drives revenue growth across key industries including medical devices, semiconductor, laser processing, photonics, and robotics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Generation & Prospecting: Proactively research, qualify, and generate new business opportunities via inbound inquiries (phone/email) and cold outreach; log complete records in CRM.
• Opportunity Qualification: Identify client requirements, budgets, decision-making processes, project timelines, and technical application needs to establish solid business cases.
• Sales Support & Quotations: Answer technical inquiries, provide standard pricing/lead times, and generate formal quotations using internal systems for both direct and field sales leads.
• Account Development: Review client purchase histories to suggest upgrades, cross-sell/up-sell solutions, handle objections, and build long-term relationships.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of related experience in technical sales; fresh engineering graduates with strong interest/foundational knowledge are welcome to apply.
• Technical Knowledge: Basic to solid understanding of motion control products, precision positioning systems, or related automation technologies.
• Skills & Attributes: Results-oriented, sales-driven, excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; proficient in MS Office and CRM tools.
• Mobility: Willingness to travel within the Asia region as required.
