Job description

What to Expect We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven colleague to take logistics program ownership of one or more of Tesla’s Energy and Charging product lines, and/or service programs. The position is based at our Amsterdam or Tilburg office. The team that you will be joining is part of the wider EMEA Logistics & Distribution department. You will be fundamental in ensuring that the logistics and distribution activities in EMEA fit the global needs of your program. Keeping growth, meeting SLAs and reducing costs in mind. Initiating cross-functional process changes and improvement projects where needed. Next to that, you will be a key partner for the operational teams by providing them with insights such as weekly to quarterly projections, changes in strategy, new market/product introduction, hosting alignment calls with the energy/charging teams and helping resolve operational issues. You will be in the unique position to become an expert on the full flow for your program, from forecasting all the way to on-time delivery.

The role requires someone who can maintain a high level, end-to-end overview of what is happening while managing multiple stakeholders and projects at the same time. You are not shy with taking initiatives to set up meetings and reaching out to others. There is a great sense of ownership for your projects and their timelines. Decisions you make are based on data-driven analyses and always consider the impact on our customers and internal teams. Process mapping is something you enjoy doing. Due to the size of the organization, you will be dealing with different geographically based stakeholders. These can include Sales, Deployment, Service, Supply Planning, Systems, Tax/Trade and other regional logistics teams. You should therefore be able to deal with cultural differences and will need an international orientated mindset to succeed.

What You'll Do* Become the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for your energy/charging program within the department.

  • Lead projects and take direct ownership on the progress being made. Be aware of other ongoing projects that can impact the end-to-end flow of your program. Steer priorities and define the roadmap across other teams, if necessary.
  • Support planning, warehouse, transport and compliance operations by providing supply/demand insights, (strategic) direction, leading special projects, driving process improvements, being part of network design, being involved with systems developments and resolving escalations. Conduct warehouse visits when needed.
  • Lead sync calls with the local and global energy/charging teams on forecasts, projects, processes, escalations and strategy. Host monthly and quarterly business reviews with them and the operational teams. Ensuring everyone actively participates.
  • Co-own the logistics and distribution blueprint for your program. Map process flows and ensures documentation exists. Initiate analyses to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Take a leading position on working together with your stakeholders to establish and improve end-to-end processes. Seek global alignment with US and APAC when needed.
  • Support management with ad-hoc requests. What You'll Bring* Bachelor or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Distribution, Operations, Business Administration or in a similar field.
  • 5+ years’ experience related to program, project and/or process management, S&OE or similar.
  • Ability to keep overview, and to spot gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Able to build bridges and communicate with different stakeholders with different needs.
  • Comfortable in hosting cross-department meetings and giving presentations.
  • Good knowledge of Excel and working with ERP systems. Knowledge of any BI tools is a plus.
  • Not afraid to speak up and reach out, work independently and find the answers for yourself..
  • Excellent command of the English language.
