Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect / Cloud Engineer to support the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud monitoring and management capabilities across a hybrid and multi-cloud environment. The contractor will lead the design and configuration of Azure Arc and Azure Monitor and enable automation, reporting, and best-practice implementation. This role requires strong Azure platform expertise, hands-on engineering capabilities, and experience designing monitoring solutions across cloud and on-premise infrastructure

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Monitoring & Management Design • Design, configure, and optimize cloud management and monitoring utilizing Microsoft Azure services. • Define and implement monitoring architecture for cloud and on-premise virtual machine environments. • Establish monitoring standards, alerting mechanisms, and operational governance frameworks. Azure Arc Implementation • Design and implement Azure Arc architectures to manage and monitor virtual machines across multi-cloud and hybrid environments. • Configure Azure Arc onboarding, policy management, governance controls, and operational monitoring. • Ensure scalability, security, and maintainability of Azure Arc deployments. Azure Monitor Configuration • Design and configure Azure Monitor solutions for infrastructure, platform, and application visibility. • Define monitoring baselines, thresholds, alert configurations, and health indicators. • Implement Log Analytics workspaces, data collection rules, and reporting capabilities. Automation & Operational Excellence • Define automation opportunities for cloud management using Azure Arc and Azure-native services. • Develop implementation approaches that reduce manual operational activities and improve reliability. • Support operational teams with configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and knowledge transfer activities. • Align on ServiceNow team for integration and process execution (CMDB, Event management, incident management) Reporting & Dashboards • Define operational reporting and KPI requirements. • Design and implement Azure dashboards, workbooks, and executive reporting views. • Enable proactive infrastructure monitoring through actionable insights and analytics.

Skill Requirements

Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline. • Minimum 7 years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering and architecture. • Strong hands-on experience with: o Microsoft Azure o Azure Arc o Azure Monitor o Azure Log Analytics o Azure Policy o Infrastructure Monitoring & Observability • Experience managing hybrid and multi-cloud environments. • Knowledge of cloud governance, security, and operational best practices. • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation frameworks is highly desirable

Other Requirements

Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification. • Azure Administrator Associate certification. • Experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bicep, ARM Templates, or Terraform. • Familiarity with ITIL-based operational processes. • Experience designing enterprise-scale monitoring and observability solutions.
