Verathon**®** is looking for an AP Analyst to become the newest member of our Finance & Accounting team located in our Amsterdam, Netherlands office. The Accounts Payable Analyst is responsible for supporting all finance and accounting related activities, as directed by the manager.
Responsibilities: Principal Responsibilities:
- Handle all incoming invoices
- Coordinate all banking related activities for all EMEA entities
- Participate in the accrual process each month (this includes invoice accruals and any other accruals as required)
- Support account reconciliations in conjunction with the Accountant (with appropriate segregation of duties within the Finance & Accounting function)
- Support periodic closings, under the supervision of the Manager
- Support fiscal and social declarations, under the supervision of the Manager
- Assist during internal and external audits (both finance & accounting specifically related audits or non-finance & accounting related audits)
- Support all local and HQ driven controllership projects and simplification activities and work with IT/local business controllers to convert these into documented processes
- Handle all mail for the Verathon EMEA Headquarters
- Any other duties assigned by the Direct Manager and/or Company, from time to time
- Continuation of Verathon’s Mission and Objectives
- Ensure adherence to Roper’s Code of Ethics, Compliance initiatives, Workplace Harassment and Technology & Privacy guidelines
Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or related discipline.
- 3+years of directly related accounting/finance experience in a similar role in a multi national, preferably in an FMCG, consumer electronics, medical devices, pharmaceutical or capital equipment organisation
- Experience working for a U.S. based manufacturing company preferred
- Demonstrates a track record in completing basic tasks within a finance and accounting function
- Knowledge and understanding of financial key figures and the correlation with management control
- Experience in using controlling tools, processes and management information systems
- Solid verbal and written communication skills (business level fluent English required), other languages desirable, ability to communicate with people at all levels, good presenter
- Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Ability to build trust and interact with people from different cultural backgrounds
- Comfortable with having to adjust to changes in work environment, work under pressure with a sense of urgency, and meet tight deadlines. Adept at prioritizing work and coordinating tasks simultaneously
- Excels at communication up, down and across to peers in the organization. Ability to develop strong partnership/teambuilding relationships with all functional areas. Must be able to work independently and with limited direction upon occasion
- Self-dependent working style and good organizational skills
- Ability to work on priorities. Ability to define, plan and work according to priorities and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail, accurate, organized and structured, but also flexible
- Ability to produce summary, management-level reports and detailed reports
