Job description

What will you do?

As Technical Product Manager at Victron Energy, you will work on our Battery Chargers and DC Distribution products. You will bring new products to market and guide their development from the first idea through to launch. You will work closely with engineering, sales and marketing.

This is a technical, hands-on role. Your responsibilities include:

Starting and managing new product development projects.

Working closely with engineers on hardware, firmware and technical solutions.

Researching product positioning and translating technical benefits into clear value for customers.

Preparing product launches, including presentations, datasheets, application notes and training materials.

Using customer feedback and market developments to continuously improve our products.

Managing product certifications and supporting quality processes.

Guiding the complete product lifecycle, including solutions for components that reach End of Life.

Identifying opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining product quality.

Supporting and actively participating in field tests.

You will connect technology, the market and our customers, helping teams turn ideas into successful products.

What makes this job unique?

At Victron, you have the opportunity to make a real impact on our products. You will not only work on strategy and planning but will also be closely involved in technical decisions, testing and product launches.

You will work with your manager, another Product Manager and around five to eight engineers based at different locations. We work in a pragmatic, fast-moving environment where you can make decisions, take ownership and see the results of your work.

As Victron continues to grow, this role also offers opportunities to develop towards broader portfolio and strategic responsibilities.

Who are we?

Victron Energy was founded in Almere-Haven in 1975. We develop solutions for power conversion and energy management for applications including off-grid systems, motorhomes, campervans, marine environments and home battery storage. Our products combine reliable hardware with smart software and connectivity.

Many of our colleagues use Victron products themselves. This creates a strong connection with what we develop and how our customers use our solutions. We work together in a technical, curious and practical way, with a focus on solutions that work in the real world.

This position can be based in Almere, Eindhoven or Groningen (depending on your location).

Requirements: What do you bring?

You have a technical background that allows you to discuss solutions with engineers and understand technical decisions.

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics or a related technical field is a good fit for this role.

You have practical experience working as an engineer. We are interested in what you have developed yourself, the technical challenges you faced and how you solved them.

Experience in product management is valuable, particularly if you have worked on product development, technical projects, certification or product launches.

You have knowledge of electrical engineering, power engineering or embedded engineering. You do not need to be an expert in every area, but you understand the technology well enough to find the right solutions together with engineers.

You can analyse technical challenges and turn your findings into clear actions and results.

You are curious, take initiative and keep going when a technical or organisational challenge does not have an immediate solution.

You communicate clearly and enjoy working with different disciplines, including engineering, sales and marketing.

You are comfortable in a pragmatic, fast-moving organisation where you take ownership and work independently.

Do you recognise yourself in most, but not all, of these points? We still encourage you to apply.
