Commis I – Asian Hot Kitchen

Join our talented culinary team and play a key role in preparing authentic and flavorful Pan-Asian cuisine, with a strong focus on hot kitchen operations and wok cooking.

What you will be doing:

• Assist with the daily preparation and cooking of Pan-Asian hot food, ensuring consistent quality, taste, and presentation.

• Handle the wok station confidently, preparing stir-fries, noodles, fried rice, sauces, and other Asian specialties.

• Support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in preparing dishes according to established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.

• Prepare mise en place and ensure the wok and hot kitchen stations are organized and ready for service.

• Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.

• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients to maintain freshness and minimize food waste.

• Work effectively with the culinary team during high-volume operations and support other kitchen sections when required.

• Previous experience in a Pan-Asian hot kitchen or similar role within a hotel, restaurant, or high-volume hospitality environment.

• Good knowledge of Asian cooking techniques, ingredients, sauces, and flavors.

• Experience preparing Asian noodles, stir-fries, fried rice, and other hot dishes.

• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen standards.

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Positive attitude, good teamwork, and willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
