Your role and responsibilities
In this role you will be a core member of the HR Operational Services Team based in Baden. You will be contributing in delivering effective and efficient HR Services to the HR community, line managers and employees within ABB Switzerland and the Group's headquarters. You will be part of a motivated and dedicated team of HR Services and Payroll Specialists and support the Employee Lifecycle Team (ELC) in their daily business, projects and process improvements. This is a fixed-term job opportunity until end of May 2027.
The work model for the role is hybrid.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Provide first-level HR support for employees, line managers, and the HR community
Process ELC Switzerland requests and manage immigration/work permit procedures
Serve as specialist in complex HR cases/projects across countries
Actively contribute to end-to-end process improvements through feedback, experience, and initiatives
Qualifications for the role
You hold a commercial degree with additional education in HR (e.g., Swiss federal vocational certificate in HR)
You bring at least 2 years professional experience in a similar role within HR Operations or Payroll and possess good knowledge of Swiss employment law and work permits
You are customer-oriented, reliable, and accurate in your work
Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, OneNote) is required, experience with Workday and/or SAPHCM is highly desirable
Fluency in German and English is essential; French and/or Italian considered a plus
You hold a current work permit valid in Switzerland (EU/EFTA)
