Job Description

Team Summary 

Visa’s Emerging Products and Solutions Team in Asia Pacific is part of Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS), within the broader Commercial and Money Movement Solutions (CMS) organisation. The team provides solution architecture and digital solutioning support across Visa’s ecosystem, working with issuers, acquirers, group service providers, merchants, e-commerce enablers, wallet providers, IoT partners and third-party payment processors. 

The team works closely with cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Technology, Client Services, Risk, Sales and the markets, as well as directly with clients and partners. Its role is to translate business needs into scalable solutions, from discovery and architecture through pilot, implementation and production readiness. 

This role will support the development and enablement of emerging VCS solutions by bringing together customers, industry participants and internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will help turn new opportunities into intuitive, secure and scalable commercial solutions that can be adopted across clients, markets and business verticals.

What a Senior Solution Manager does at Visa: 

Combine strong solution architecture skills with a practical understanding of commercial and digital payments. The successful candidate will be able to translate business requirements into scalable technical designs, lead API and integration decisions, and use approved AI tools to improve the quality and speed of solution development. 

Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions for commercial and digital payments.  

Develop technical requirements, functional specifications, architecture diagrams and pilot success criteria.  

Design APIs and technical interfaces, using existing Visa platforms and capabilities wherever appropriate.  

Use approved AI tools to support solution development, documentation, prototyping and testing.  

Partner with Product, Technology, Client Services and Sales to develop solutions and address technical risks.  

Support pre-sales activities through technical discovery, solution proposals and client discussions.  

Conduct testing and pilot activities, incorporating feedback to improve the solution.  

Transition completed solutions to implementation and support teams for production deployment and scale.  

Manage multiple initiatives and provide clear updates on progress, decisions, risks and dependencies.

The solutions you build will not be client specific but scaled for an entire vertical ecosystem in AP.    

This is a hybrid position with expectations for in-office days confirmed by your hiring manager. 

Qualifications

What you will need:  

Minimum 10 years of strong payments experience, ability to design and architect solutions, a strong payments domain knowledge to be able to design and architect solutions, develop new use cases for customers and have a strong understanding of technical integrations for payments platforms  

Experience as a solution architect for complex payment related use cases for large client partners; managing requirements of various payment players to build payment tie-ups and prescribing simple workflows to make more convenient and simpler  

 Ability to apply understanding of systems and processes coupled with analytical ability to solution architect complex projects involving interfaces between various systems within organization 

Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 

 

What will also help: 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 

Expert knowledge of existing and emerging Agentic API technologies and systems used in payments, mobile and e-commerce, authentication, 4-party payment model, authorization and clearing process, near field communication (NFC) and tokenization while keeping step with market developments
