Job description

We are looking for a student (m/f/diverse) in the area of Radar ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) from September 2026 for at least 6 months at our location in Lindau (Germany).

In your role you are supporting us in Radar pre-development with algorithms, signal processing and radar data evaluation.

Your tasks include: 

  •  Literature research on automotive radar systems and target classification methods

  •  Investigation of radar cross-section (RCS) characteristics of various objects

  •  Analysis of vehicle motion models and object dynamics relevant to radar sensing

  •  Evaluation of range-Doppler signatures for different target classes

  •  Development of MATLAB/Python tools for radar data visualization and feature extraction

  •  Comparison of radar signatures of various objects, e.g. passenger cars, trucks, cyclists, and pedestrians

  •  Analysis of detection challenges such as clutter, multipath reflections, and low-RCS targets

  •  Evaluation of simple classification approaches based on extracted radar features

  •  Validation of results using recorded radar measurement data

You are wondering whether you are a good fit for the Internship  –  Analysis of Radar Signatures (ADAS) ? Here are some key qualifications, we are looking for:

  • Student (m/f/diverse) in Electrical Engineering or similar field of study

  • Basic knowledge in Radar and signal processing

  • Basic experience in development of IT projects

  • Any experience in the field of radar, radar signal processing, RF and/or antennas is preferable

  • Good IT skills and experience in MATLAB and/or Python and C/C++

  • Very good English skills, both written and spoken

In addition to these technical qualificatons, we are also looking for certain characteristics and abilities:

  • Interest in working in an international team

  • Quick comprehension, analytical thinking, independent work, high level of commitment
