The candidate should be able to verify discipline models, feed the federated model, run clash and model audit checks, support quantity take-off and 4D/5D workflows, and present discipline coordination issues clearly to engineering, construction, and client stakeholders. The role requires practical knowledge of ISO 19650, BEP compliance, CDE workflows, LOD/LOI requirements, shared coordinates, linked models, and model-based documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and verify architecture BIM models and ensure they are ready for federation, review, clash detection, and information exchange.
- Coordinate architectural models covering grids, levels, walls, floors, ceilings, roofs, partitions, stairs, lifts, doors, room data, area plans, and finish schedules.
- Validate room names, room numbers, area schedules, occupancy data, door schedules, finish codes, and model-derived architectural quantities against approved design information.
- Review architectural interfaces with structural openings, MEP builders' work, shafts, risers, ceiling voids, access panels, vertical circulation, facade interfaces, and specialist room requirements.
- Support model-based coordination of mock-ups, critical finished areas, public-facing spaces, operational areas, and sustainability evidence linked to architectural data.
- Run discipline model audits for LOD/LOI, naming conventions, worksets, coordinates, links, parameters, view templates, sheet setup, and data completeness.
- Prepare and review clash reports, viewpoints, coordination comments, issue logs, and model status reports using Navisworks Manage, ACC/BIM 360, ACONEX, and related tools.
- Support 4D sequencing, 5D quantity extraction, model-based progress information, and structured asset data requirements where applicable.
- Work with discipline engineers and managers to resolve modelling inconsistencies, document coordination risks, and close out technical actions.
- Maintain ISO 19650-aligned CDE discipline workflows, including information container naming, suitability status, revision control, and transmittal discipline.
- Support Revit family review, model clean-up, linked model management, shared coordinate control, model breakdown, and discipline template compliance.
- Contribute to BIM automation and QA improvements through Dynamo scripts, schedules, model checking routines, and repeatable coordination workflows.
- Prepare discipline inputs for BIM meetings, technical workshops, client presentations, and internal management updates.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Technology, Digital Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of BIM experience, including at least 4 years as a discipline BIM Coordinator or BIM Lead Coordinator on large building, infrastructure, transportation, aviation, or industrial projects.
- Strong discipline depth in architectural model coordination, room and area validation, setting-out, grids, walls, floors, roofs, ceilings, partitions, doors, schedules, finishes, vertical circulation, builders' work, and MEP provisions.
- Strong Revit Architecture capability, including rooms, areas, schedules, phases, design options, families, view templates, sheets, and architectural model health checks.
- Detailed understanding of architectural setting-out, room/area validation, wall and ceiling build-ups, door and finish schedules, accessibility coordination, and builders' work interfaces.
- Experience coordinating architectural models with MEP, structure, facade, interior design, fire life safety, vertical transportation, and specialist equipment layouts.
- Good understanding of ISO 19650, BEP requirements, MIDP/TIDP principles, CDE workflows, model status codes, clash matrices, and model QA processes.
- Proficiency in Revit Architecture, Navisworks Manage, ACC/BIM 360, ACONEX, AutoCAD, and model QA tools.
- Experience with federated model coordination, clash detection, LOD 400/500 workflows, shared coordinates, linked models, worksets, Revit families, and model data validation.
- Ability to support 4D simulation, 5D quantity extraction, and asset-information/7D data preparation under the direction of the BIM Manager.
- Strong coordination, communication, presentation, technical reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in aviation, airport, transportation, MRO, heavy industrial, or large multidisciplinary building projects is preferred.
- Experience with model-based room data sheets, finish schedules, mock-up coordination, and LEED or sustainability evidence is an advantage.
