Job description

Position Summary We are seeking a Consultant ENT Surgeon to provide advanced medical and surgical care across the full spectrum of otolaryngology, with a strong focus on head and neck surgery, airway reconstruction, and complex airway management . The role includes outpatient consultations, elective and emergency surgeries, multidisciplinary collaboration, and active contribution to service development within a leading healthcare institution in Dubai. The consultant is expected to deliver evidence‑based, patient‑centered care aligned with international standards and UAE regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of adult and pediatric ENT conditions
  • Perform advanced head and neck surgeries, including thyroid, parathyroid, salivary gland, neck mass, and oncologic procedures
  • Lead airway management, including difficult airway cases, tracheostomy care, airway reconstruction, and endoscopic airway interventions
  • Conduct outpatient clinics, diagnostic assessments, and follow‑up care
  • Manage emergency ENT cases, including airway obstruction, epistaxis, and trauma
  • Perform a full range of ENT surgeries: endoscopic sinus surgery, otologic procedures, laryngeal surgery, and head & neck oncology
  • Collaborate with anesthesiology, oncology, radiology, pulmonology, and ICU teams for integrated patient care
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and airway management committees
  • Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient‑safety initiatives
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with DHA standards
  • Teach and supervise residents, fellows, and allied health professionals
  • Engage in research, publications, and continuous professional development
  • Support service development, protocol creation, and strategic planning for ENT and head & neck services

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent)
  • Completion of residency and fellowship training in Otolaryngology / ENT
  • Western Board Certification (e.g., UK CCT, American Board, Canadian FRCSC, Australian/NZ Fellowship, or equivalent)
  • Subspecialty fellowship training in Head & Neck Surgery and/or Airway Surgery preferred
  • Eligibility for DHA Consultant License
  • Minimum 8+ years post‑specialty qualification experience (or as per DHA criteria)
  • Proven expertise in complex airway management and head & neck surgical oncology
  • Strong communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
  • Experience in tertiary‑care or high‑volume ENT/head & neck centres is an advantage
