Financial Controller and Business Partner

Financial Controller | Business Partner | Manufacturing | Dutch + English speaking

We're looking for a Financial Controller who combines strong financial expertise with commercial insight. Someone who enjoys understanding what drives performance, challenges assumptions, and translates numbers into meaningful recommendations for management.

This is more than a traditional financial control role. You'll act as a trusted business partner, working closely with leadership and operational teams to improve decision-making, strengthen financial governance, and support the continued growth of a well-established manufacturing organisation.

What you'll be doing

You'll be at the heart of the finance function, combining financial control with business control responsibilities. Your role will include:

• Leading the monthly closing process and preparing management reporting.
• Analysing financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Developing budgets, forecasts, and scenario analyses.
• Building dashboards and translating financial and operational data into actionable insights.
• Identifying risks, opportunities, and improvement initiatives.
• Supporting audits and strengthening internal controls.
• Optimising financial processes and reporting.
• Acting as a strategic sparring partner for management while working closely with the CFO and finance team.

Who we're looking for

You enjoy looking beyond the numbers and understand the story they tell. You are confident challenging stakeholders, influencing decisions, and balancing operational detail with strategic thinking. You'll ideally bring:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Economics, or Accountancy.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Financial Controller with business partnering responsibilities.
• Experience with financial reporting, month-end closing, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strong ERP and reporting system knowledge.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Manufacturing experience is an strong advantage.
• Strong Dutch + English communication skills
