Job description
Senior Full-Stack Web Developer — 6-Week Healthcare Website Rebuild
Location: Dubai, UAE
Contract: Full-time fixed-term project, approximately 6 weeks
Project fee: AED 10,000
Target go-live: 1 October 2026
Working arrangement: Hybrid/remote with weekly face-to-face meetings in Dubai
Agencies: Please DO NOT apply
About the project
CP Medical Clinic is an established private medical clinic in Chelsea, London. We are undertaking a complete clean rebuild of our existing website and are looking for an experienced, hands-on, Dubai-based Full-Stack Web Developer to take responsibility for the technical build, integrations, migration and launch.
This is not a web-design role.
The new visual direction, UX, mobile and desktop designs, information architecture, navigation, page structures and reusable service-page system are already being developed and will be supplied. Much of the content will also be supplied.
We need someone who can take a detailed specification and turn it into a fast, secure, maintainable and production-ready website.
Approximately 80% of our patients access the website on mobile devices, so excellent mobile implementation is particularly important.
The existing website
Our current website is an approximately 11-year-old WordPress/custom-code website.
We want a clean rebuild, not a modification or reskin of the existing codebase.
The existing CP Medical Clinic domain must be retained and the current website must remain operational while the new site is developed separately on staging.
The successful developer will also manage the technical migration to the new site, including existing URL mapping, 301 redirects, technical SEO and final production deployment.
What you'll be building
The project includes:
- Homepage
- Approximately 16 clinical service pages
- Reusable service-page component/module system
- Clinician profiles
- Fees & Transparency
- About and Contact
- Knowledge Hub
- FAQs
- Mobile navigation and mobile booking/action functionality
- CMS/backend for internal content management
- Forms and conversion tracking
- Analytics and cookie-consent implementation
- Technical SEO and migration
- GP appointment booking integrated with Semble
- Online purchase and checkout for selected paid services
- Payment-provider integration, including Klarna
- Appropriate cancellation/partial-refund functionality within the agreed payment workflow
- Secure checkout integrated with the website/CMS
The service pages should use a reusable component architecture, not 16 individually hard-coded pages.
A comprehensive development brief and detailed page specifications will be provided to shortlisted candidates.
Semble API integration
A major technical requirement is integration with Semble, our existing clinical practice-management system.
We want patients to be able to view appropriate live GP appointment availability and make bookings through the website, with bookings connected to Semble.
Applicants therefore need genuine API integration experience.
GraphQL experience is highly desirable. Previous Semble experience is useful but not essential if you have strong API skills and can confidently work from technical documentation.
A technical proof-of-concept for the Semble integration will be a Week 1 deliverable.
Technical skills required
You should have strong practical experience in:
- Full-stack web development
- HTML/CSS/JavaScript
- Responsive/mobile-first development
- Accurately implementing supplied designs
- Reusable/component-based architecture
- CMS implementation
- REST and/or GraphQL API integration
- Secure server-side API handling
- E-commerce and payment-provider integration
- Git/version control
- Staging and production environments
- Website migrations and 301 redirects
- Technical SEO
- DNS management during website migration, including protection of existing MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC email records
- UK GDPR and PECR considerations relating to cookies, analytics and third-party technologies
- WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility implementation
- Core Web Vitals and mobile performance optimisation
- Cross-browser/device testing
- Production deployment
You should also be able to recommend and justify an appropriate CMS and front-end architecture based on maintainability, performance, security and long-term supportability — rather than simply recommending your preferred technology.
Klarna, healthcare, booking-platform or regulated-sector experience would be advantageous.
This is a UK healthcare website.
The developer must understand that patient privacy, cookies/tracking and website implementation operate within UK regulatory requirements.
Clinical content, claims, imagery and approved wording will be supplied and must not be independently rewritten or materially altered by the developer.
This is a hands-on developer role
This point is important.
The person we interview and appoint must personally undertake the core development work.
We are NOT looking for an agency, account manager, intermediary or someone who intends to pass the project to another development team.
Core development must not be subcontracted, outsourced or delegated to another developer without CP Medical Clinic's prior written approval.
All development will take place using a CP Medical Clinic-controlled Git repository, staging environment and project-management system.
Regular commits and visible development progress will be expected.
How we'll work
This will be a fast-moving, collaborative build with:
- One face-to-face working session each week in Dubai
- Short remote/screen-share progress reviews where useful
- A shared project/task board
- Defined weekly milestones and deliverables
- Direct access to the clinic owner for quick decisions
Weekly meetings will involve reviewing the actual working build, rather than agency-style status presentations.
What we are NOT looking for
Please do not apply if you are:
- An agency
- Primarily a web/graphic designer
- Planning to outsource the core development
- Looking to replace supplied designs with a template
- Primarily experienced in installing/customising WordPress themes
- Unable to personally handle API integration
- Unable to work within a Git-based development workflow
- Unable to attend face-to-face meetings in Dubai
- Unable to commit sufficient time to achieve the 1 October launch
Technical recommendations concerning architecture, security, performance, accessibility and maintainability are welcome.
We are not looking for a new creative/design direction.
Ownership and handover
CP Medical Clinic must retain full technical control of the finished website.
The clinic will own or have administrator-level control of the source-code repository, CMS, hosting, staging and production environments, integrations, analytics and relevant technical infrastructure.
The project includes complete technical documentation and handover.
We specifically want to avoid creating a website that becomes dependent on one developer after launch.
Project timetable and fee
This is an intensive approximately SIX-week project, targeting public launch on:
1 October 2026
Fixed project fee: AED 10,000
There may be flexibility for an exceptional candidate with particularly strong full-stack, API integration, e-commerce and migration experience.
Payment will be made against agreed project milestones.
The engagement also includes 10 working days of post-launch warranty support for defects attributable to the delivered build. This covers bug fixes rather than additional feature development.
To apply
Please submit your CV/profile and examples of websites you have personally developed.
We are deliberately not requesting lengthy written technical answers at the initial application stage. Shortlisted candidates will receive the detailed project brief and further technical questions.
Pay: AED10,000.00 per month
Application Question(s):
- Are you currently based in Dubai and able to attend weekly face-to-face working meetings in Dubai throughout the project?
- Have you personally developed and launched a production website involving a third-party API integration beyond simply installing a plugin, widget or embed?
- Will you personally undertake the core coding and development work for this project without subcontracting or outsourcing it unless CP Medical Clinic has approved this in writing beforehand?
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Dubai (Dubai)
