Product Owner – Energy Storage Systems

Responsibilities

• Drive the end-to-end development and continuous improvement of innovative technical products, ensuring alignment with long-term product strategy and business objectives.
• Coordinate internal teams and external partners to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Gather market and customer requirements, translate them into user stories, and manage a prioritized product backlog.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams across Engineering, Testing, Sales, Marketing, and other technical and commercial functions.
• Communicate product vision, business priorities, and market insights to internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment throughout the development process.
• Support customers and internal teams through technical training, knowledge sharing, and the creation of product documentation.
• Ensure transparency across the product development lifecycle through effective stakeholder management and regular progress updates.
• Collaborate with commercial and technical teams to prepare and support successful product launches.
• Apply modern product development methodologies, including Agile frameworks and structured systems engineering approaches where appropriate.
• Partner closely with senior product leadership to define priorities, manage delivery, and support strategic product decisions.

Requirements

• Several years of experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Manager, or Project Manager developing complex technical products.
• Experience within the renewable energy, battery storage, power electronics, electrical engineering, or a related industrial sector is highly desirable.
• Strong commercial and technical understanding, with the ability to assess technical feasibility and translate customer needs into product requirements.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders in a matrix organization.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to motivate distributed and multidisciplinary teams.
• Self-driven, proactive, and highly organized, with a structured and analytical approach to problem-solving.
• Experience working with product management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of battery energy storage systems (BESS), battery management systems (BMS), power electronics, or embedded systems would be advantageous.
