Technical Draftsman

AYA Constructions is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Draftsman to join our growing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings and shop drawings for ongoing construction, finishing, and fit-out projects across Dubai.

Key Responsibilities

• Work on multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring assigned tasks are completed within the project schedule and company standards.
• Prepare, maintain, and update drawing log sheets in accordance with the project execution program.
• Prepare shop drawings for civil, architectural, and interior works in coordination with the structural, MEP, and design teams.
• Develop detailed construction drawings, including blow-up details and construction details, in compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.
• Coordinate with project engineers, architects, and other disciplines to ensure accurate and coordinated drawings.
• Prepare activity packages and technical documentation required for procurement.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOǪs) and quantity take-offs as required for project execution and procurement.
• Prepare concept designs and 3D visualizations in accordance with approved specifications, material selections, and client requirements.
• Revise and update drawings based on consultant comments, site conditions, and project requirements.
• Ensure all drawings and documents comply with company quality standards and project specifications.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Manager or Design Manager that are related to the nature of the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Drafting Technology, or a related course.
• AutoCAD certification is preferred.
• Certification in Revit or BIM software is an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Draftsman in the UAE fit-out or interior construction industry.
• Proven experience in commercial, residential, hospitality, retail, office, and luxury interior fit-out projects.
• Experience preparing consultant-approved shop drawings.
• Familiarity with authority submission requirements (Dubai Municipality, Sharjah Municipality, Abu Dhabi DMT, Civil Défence, and other relevant authorities).
• Experience working with fit-out contractors, interior design firms, or real estate developers in the UAE.

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, BIM software, or similar drafting applications is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of interior fit-out construction methods and materials.
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Knowledge of joinery detailing, gypsum ceiling systems, partition layouts, flooring, finishes, and custom furniture detailing.
• Familiarity with UAE building regulations and fit-out standards.
