Job description

For our client we are currently filling the following position:

Data Center Engineering Technician (m/f/d)

YOUR TASKS

  • Monitor, operate, and maintain critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure, including UPS systems, MV electrical systems, generators, cooling systems, PDUs, AHUs, fire detection, and building automation systems.
  • Perform regular facility inspections and walkthroughs to ensure safe and reliable operation of all infrastructure.
  • Monitor building systems through BMS, EPMS, and other facility management tools.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve mechanical and electrical infrastructure issues.
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors, including issuing and managing work permits.
  • Ensure all maintenance and operational activities comply with health, safety, and operational standards.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and maintenance documentation.
  • Support day-to-day data center operations and respond to operational incidents as required.

Your Qualifications

  • Technical degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Building Systems Engineering, Automation Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, circuit diagrams, and equipment documentation.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and the ability to follow strict operational procedures.
  • Hands-on mindset with a strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Physically able to lift equipment (up to approximately 16 kg) and work on ladders or uneven surfaces when required.
  • Applicants must have the legal right to work in the European Union. Due to project requirements, this position is open only to EU citizens or individuals holding a passport issued by an EU member state.
