Data Center Operations Technician (m/f/d)

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Data Center Operations Technician (m/f/d) to join the client's growing operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the critical infrastructure of our data center facilities to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain data center infrastructure (UPS, MV electrical systems, generators, cooling systems, Hardware, Servers or similar)
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Respond to alerts and incidents in a timely and professional manner
• Coordinate with internal and external teams for hardware installations and repairs
• Ensure compliance with operational and security policies
• Maintain detailed documentation of incidents, maintenance activities, and system changes

Requirements

• First experience in a technical environment (Hardware/ Server handling, critical Infrastructure, Support Engineering or equivalent)
• Hands-on experience in a data center or IT infrastructure environment preferred
• Strong understanding of hardware, networking, and cabling standards
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team under time pressure
• Willingness to work in a rotating shift schedule (day/night/weekend shifts)
• Good communication skills in English (German is a plus)
• Valid work permit for employment in Germany is required, EU-citizenship is a plus
