The Role

Our client is a leading Financial Services company based in Abu Dhabi and we are seeking a Specialist Application Support Engineer to join them and ensure the high availability, performance, and stability of its mission-critical trading and market applications.

You will lead advanced 2nd/3rd-level troubleshooting, conduct root-cause analysis on critical outages, automate workflows, and collaborate directly with global exchange technology providers (including Nasdaq).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialist support and advanced troubleshooting for core financial applications.
• Drive end-to-end RCA on complex outages, technical issues, and system bugs to prevent recurrence.
• Perform system updates, patches, and build automation scripts to streamline deployment and monitoring.
• Liaise with top-tier tech vendors and development teams while mentoring junior support engineers.

Key Requirements

• 7 to 9+ years in application support within Securities, Capital Markets, or Banking (including 3+ years in a senior/supervisory capacity).
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

Technical Stack

• Enterprise applications (Databases, OS, Networking, Web Tech).
• Scripting & automation tools (Python, Shell, etc.).
• APM, diagnostic, and ITSM incident management tools.
