Systems Engineer Go and Rust

We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer with strong experience in Go and Rust to build performance-critical services and infrastructure-facing components.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement gRPC services for internal, low-latency service-to-service communication.
• Define and evolve Protocol Buffer schemas while maintaining backward-compatible API versioning across services.
• Build performance-sensitive components in Go and Rust , including data pipelines, proxies, and long-running agents.
• Develop infrastructure automation integrations for internal platform tools, including Kubernetes cluster management, GitOps synchronization, and deployment orchestration .
• Contribute to the Internal Developer Platform and its infrastructure automation capabilities.
• Containerize services and create Kubernetes deployment manifests and Helm charts .
• Profile and optimize services for latency, memory usage, throughput, and overall performance .
• Work closely with platform, backend, and infrastructure engineers to build reliable distributed systems.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong production experience with Go , including concurrency patterns such as goroutines, channels, and context cancellation.
• Working experience with Rust , including ownership, borrowing, and asynchronous programming with runtimes such as Tokio .
• Solid experience with gRPC and Protocol Buffers , including service definitions, streaming RPCs, and interceptors.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes fundamentals , including Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and readiness/liveness probes.
• Ability to reason about system performance at the OS, networking, and application layers .
• Experience building and operating production-grade distributed services.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd.
• Experience with distributed tracing and observability , particularly OpenTelemetry.
• Experience authoring CI/CD pipelines for multi-language builds .
• Experience with GitOps tooling , such as Argo CD or Flux.
• Basic PostgreSQL administration experience is a plus, but not required.
