About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop autonomy and mission-computing software for advanced UAV and UxV platforms. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on robotics, embedded Linux, ROS2, platform integration, and secure mission systems. You will work closely with software, hardware, security, and systems teams to build reliable, high-performance autonomy solutions running on Qualcomm-based platforms.

Role Summary: Develop autonomy software and mission-computing capabilities on Qualcomm platforms that enable intelligent vehicle behaviour and mission execution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain mission-computer software for autonomous UAV and UxV platforms.
  • Design and implement ROS2-based applications, middleware, and autonomy services.
  • Support Qualcomm platform bring-up, integration, validation, and optimisation activities.
  • Integrate sensors, autonomy frameworks, communications, and mission-critical applications.
  • Implement and support platform security features including secure boot, OTA, and device provisioning.
  • Collaborate with hardware, systems, QA, and security teams throughout the software lifecycle.
  • Contribute to testing, debugging, performance optimisation, and technical documentation.

Requirements

  • MSc preferred / BSc (minimum) in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or safety-critical UxV platform development, preferably in defense or aerospace environments.
  • Must-have expertise with ROS2 and autonomy software architecture on Qualcomm-based mission computer platforms or similar ARM-based compute platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Qualcomm SoC platform bring-up, including BSP integration, Linux/Yocto environments, boot chain validation, peripheral enablement, driver integration, and platform debugging.
  • Understanding of Qualcomm security features, including secure boot, hardware root of trust, TEE, key provisioning, encrypted storage, anti-rollback, secure debug control, and lifecycle-state enforcement.
  • Strong understanding of autonomy, sensor fusion, perception, navigation, or AI/ML workloads.
  • Familiarity with secure computing concepts including secure boot and root of trust.
