Frontend Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a talented Frontend Engineer to own the user-facing application layer, including component architecture, data-fetching patterns, frontend performance, and UI consistency across products.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain modern React applications using TypeScript , ensuring strong type safety across components and props.
• Implement data fetching, caching, and mutation flows using TanStack Query .
• Own client-side routing and navigation using TanStack Router .
• Build complex data grids and interactive tables using TanStack Table .
• Develop responsive and accessible user interfaces using Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui .
• Build custom self-service form extensions and multi-step wizard flows for internal developer tooling, including scaffolding templates for the Internal Developer Platform.
• Develop catalog-style views featuring entity relationships, dependencies, and visualizations for internal platform tools.
• Collaborate closely with Backend Engineers to define, integrate, and consume API contracts.
• Maintain design-system consistency and promote reusable components across products.
• Own frontend performance optimization, including bundle size, code splitting, and render performance .
• Contribute to frontend architecture and engineering standards across multiple platform initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of professional experience developing production applications with TypeScript and React.
• Hands-on experience with the TanStack ecosystem , particularly TanStack Query, Router, and Table.
• Strong experience with Tailwind CSS and accessible component development using shadcn/ui .
• Experience integrating and consuming REST APIs .
• Experience writing frontend tests using Vitest or Jest and React Testing Library .
• Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture, component design, and state/data management.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with design systems or Storybook .
• Experience with accessibility standards and WCAG 2.1 auditing.
• Exposure to internal developer portals or platform engineering tools such as Backstage, Port, or Roadie .
• Basic Node.js and Express experience is a plus, but not required.
