Frontend Developer

We are looking for a Frontend Engineer – React / TypeScript to own the user-facing application layer across multiple platform initiatives within Digital Cloud Infrastructure Engineering.

You will work across the Internal Developer Platform and other cloud infrastructure and product engineering initiatives , building scalable, accessible, and consistent frontend experiences.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, TanStack Query, TanStack Router, TanStack Table, Tailwind CSS, and shadcn/ui .

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable React applications using TypeScript , ensuring strong type safety across components and props.
• Implement data fetching, caching, and mutation workflows using TanStack Query .
• Manage client-side routing using TanStack Router .
• Build complex data grids, tables, and data-heavy interfaces using TanStack Table .
• Develop responsive and accessible user interfaces using Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui .
• Build self-service form extensions and multi-step wizard experiences for internal developer tooling and platform workflows.
• Develop catalog-style views including entity relationships, dependencies, and visualizations for internal platform tools.
• Partner closely with backend engineers to define, integrate, and consume REST API contracts.
• Maintain design system consistency and promote reusable frontend components across products.
• Optimize frontend performance, including bundle size, code splitting, rendering performance, and overall application responsiveness.
• Write and maintain unit and component tests using Vitest or Jest and React Testing Library .
• Collaborate with product, design, backend, and platform engineering teams to deliver high-quality user experiences.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of production experience with TypeScript and React .
• Strong hands-on experience with the TanStack ecosystem , particularly:
• TanStack Query
• TanStack Router
• TanStack Table
• Strong experience with Tailwind CSS .
• Hands-on experience building accessible and reusable UI components using shadcn/ui .
• Experience consuming and integrating REST APIs .
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, component design, state management, and reusable UI patterns.
• Experience writing frontend tests using Vitest or Jest and React Testing Library .
• Strong understanding of responsive web development and modern frontend engineering practices.
• Experience optimizing frontend performance, including rendering, bundle size, and code splitting.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with design systems or Storybook .
• Experience with accessibility auditing and WCAG 2.1 .
• Exposure to internal developer platforms or developer portal tooling such as Backstage, Port, or Roadie .
• Basic experience with Node.js and Express .
• Experience building data-heavy dashboards, catalog interfaces, dependency maps, or internal developer tooling.
