ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Business Analyst within the Global IT Team (GIT), you will belong to a team of ~ 10 business analysts that are focused across various projects, systems and applications. This will provide the opportunity to collaborate and learn with colleagues with a similar skillset coming from diverse backgrounds. Your stakeholders will be your colleagues within the IT team that have a technical focus on our IT applications and processes, as well as managers from the business (internal clients) based both in our Amsterdam HQ and possibly across other global regions too.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Global IT Team (GIT) is responsible for all of Brunel's business-critical applications worldwide. This team consists of four agile teams that, based on Devops, design and develop the right functionality and applications for our international regions and manage them together with our partners. Within these teams we work together with modern technology and IT partners, and we continue to innovate to provide our business with the best IT systems.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Developing a deep understanding of our business and users’ needs, specifying requirements and translating into user stories;
  • Drawing up additional functional specifications that fit within the set of architectural frameworks;
  • Assessing functional and technical designs;
  • Making impact analysis of changes to business processes, related information systems and advising on this;
  • Being the first point of contact for the Agile development teams
  • Working together with the Product Owner having an opinion about the business value of changes.
  • Working closely with our partners to get the best from their products

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, IT or similar
  • Excellent Dutch and/or English communication and writing skills
  • Demonstrable work experience in an agile/scrum, SAFe environment; experience in working with Azure DevOps
  • Demonstrable experience with process, business, information and/or system analysis
  • Ability to retrieve and describe requirements and translate them into user stories/use cases
  • Knowledge and experience with modelling and techniques such as UML and BPMN
  • Training/certifications in the field of business/information analysis and architecture (eg IREB, BABOK, UML, BPMN, TOGAF) are a plus.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, resistance to stress and confidence
  • Ability to deal with a wide scope of tasks, monitor overview and set priorities and explain complex matters in a simple way
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Microsoft Power Platform
  • Previous experience in a recruitment, staffing or a similar industry
