Senior Information Security Consultant

We are looking for a Senior Information Security Consultant to strengthen information security, risk management and compliance across multiple European entities.

You will work at the intersection of Information Security, IT Risk, Compliance and IT Operations , translating regulatory requirements and security frameworks into practical and measurable controls.

What you will do

• Improve and maintain the ISMS in line with ISO/IEC 27001;
• Drive and support ISO 27001 and NIS2 compliance initiatives;
• Perform IT risk assessments and support remediation;
• Support internal and external audits, control validation and remediation tracking;
• Advise IT and business stakeholders on security, risk and compliance;
• Contribute to security governance, policies, procedures and control implementation;
• Work with senior stakeholders and lead workstreams.

What we are looking for

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Information Security, IT Risk, IT Audit and/or Compliance;
• Proven experience leading information security and compliance programmes;
• Proven experience leading ISO 27001 implementation or certification programmes;
• Experience with audits, remediation and regulatory compliance;
• Strong knowledge of ISO 27001 and risk-based security management;
• Knowledge of frameworks such as NIST CSF, CIS Controls and PCI DSS;
• Understanding of NIS2;
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills;
• Professional working proficiency in English;
• Dutch is preferred;
• Currently living in the Netherlands.

Preferred

CISM is strongly preferred. CISSP, CRISC, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer and/or Lead Auditor certifications are also relevant.

What we offer

• One-year contract with strong possibility of extension;
• 40 hours per week;
• €6,576 – €8,200 gross per month based on 40 hours;
• Hybrid working: 2 days onsite / 3 days remote;

Please note: this role is only open to professionals already living in the Netherlands , as the position requires someone who can start onsite at short notice.
