Electrical Commissioning Engineer (Data Centers)
Location: Netherlands
Contract: ZZP project
Sector: Mission Critical / Data Centers
Brightsmith are currently looking to engage an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer (Cx) to join a major hyperscale data center project in the Netherlands.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a flagship mission critical development, supporting electrical commissioning activities from pre-commissioning through to final client handover.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of electrical commissioning activities across mission-critical systems.
- Carry out L1–L5 commissioning activities in accordance with the project commissioning programme.
- Execute pre-functional and functional testing of electrical systems including LV/MV distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear and associated equipment.
- Assist with Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and system validation.
- Coordinate with construction teams, vendors and other commissioning engineers to ensure systems are commissioned safely and efficiently.
- Complete commissioning documentation, test records and punch lists in line with project requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Commissioning Engineer on hyperscale or mission-critical data center projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical building services and critical power infrastructure.
- Experience supporting L1–L5 commissioning and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Familiarity with commissioning documentation, test packs and turnover processes.
- Fluent English is essential; Dutch language skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
