Custom IC Layout Engineer

Job Description

• Work in a multi-disciplinary team to design medical ultrasound products
• Design block-level layouts of state-of-the-art analog / mixed-signal circuits
• Do high-level floorplanning of large system architectures
• Iteratively improve designs through parasitic extraction tools
• Craft reusable scripts and methodologies to automate design flow, repeatability, and efficiency
• Work closely with digital and analog IC design engineers
• Participate in design reviews and creating the design and product documentation

Key Qualifications

• HBO/WO degree or equivalent qualification
• Preferably 5+ years of relevant experience in custom IC layout development.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering basics
• Strong command of industry-standard EDA tools (ideally Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre)
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively

Additional Qualifications

• Experience with HV IC technologies (SOI / BCD)
• Experience with CMOS-MEMS integration
• Experience in adjacent fields (digital backend, analog design, …)
• Scripting and automation, such as TCL, SKILL, PERL, Python, Shell
• Experience in a startup environment
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication/documentation skills
• Collaboration across multidisciplinary and international teams
