Architectural Model Making / Fabricator

Key Responsibilities:

• Build high-quality architectural scale models using materials such as acrylic, wood, cardboard, foam, resin, and 3D-printed components.
• Interpret architectural plans, elevations, sections, and CAD files to create accurate physical representations.
• Operate hand tools, laser cutters, CNC machines, and 3D printers to fabricate parts.
• Assemble and finish models with precision, including sanding, painting, and applying surface treatments.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and project managers to understand design intent and timelines.
• Assist in developing prototypes and mock-ups.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in architectural model making or a related field.
• Strong handcrafting and fabrication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and 3D models.
• Proficiency with tools and equipment such as laser cutters, hand tools, and 3D printers.
• Basic knowledge of modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good time management and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• A team player with good communication and problem-solving skills.
