Interior Fit OUt Designer - Commercial Fit Out

Job Summary

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Fit-Out Designer – Commercial to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing commercial interior spaces, preparing fit-out drawings, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring designs meet client expectations, regulatory requirements, and project timelines. This role requires a strong understanding of space planning, materials, technical detailing, joinery detailing and commercial fit-out standards as per UAE norms & regulation.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to understand their design vision, objectives, and project requirements.
• Develop innovative and functional interior design concepts for commercial projects.
• Prepare space planning layouts, concept presentations, mood boards, and material selections.
• Produce detailed design packages, including floor plans, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans, joinery details, and construction drawings.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, project managers, suppliers, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site visits, surveys, and inspections to ensure design intent is maintained during execution.
• Prepare specifications, material schedules.
• Ensure all designs comply with local authority regulations, building codes, and client requirements.
• Review shop drawings and material submittals for design compliance.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and commercial interior design innovations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in commercial interior fit-out design.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating commercial office, retail, hospitality, or corporate fit-out projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong knowledge of construction detailing, materials, and fit-out execution.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
