Business Development & Project Manager

Our client, a leading provider of dewatering solutions in the UAE, is seeking an experienced Business Development and Project Manager to join their team in Abu Dhabi.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth while managing the complete lifecycle of dewatering projects, from client acquisition and proposal development through project execution, invoicing, and successful completion. This role requires a strong combination of business development, project management, technical knowledge, and commercial awareness.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the construction, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, developers, and key clients.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and negotiate contract terms.
• Manage dewatering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery within budget, timeline, and quality standards.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, from initial engagement to project close-out.
• Develop method statements and coordinate with the design team to ensure all technical requirements are addressed.
• Review technical documents in line with project specifications and commercial requirements.
• Coordinate with NOC teams regarding discharge points, manholes, approvals, and required documentation.
• Conduct project kick-off meetings with internal teams to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Coordinate project mobilization, installation activities, and site operations to meet client schedules.
• Provide technical solutions and support for on-site challenges in coordination with site engineers.
• Monitor project progress and ensure efficient operation of installed dewatering systems.
• Follow up with site engineers regarding project requirements, breakdowns, and operational issues.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of project reports, including daily checklists, SWDR, diesel reports, and SMR.
• Verify SWDR submissions to support accurate and timely invoice generation.
• Attend meetings with consultants and clients regarding project progress, variation orders, and approvals.
• Coordinate with QS and Finance teams regarding invoicing, payment certification, and collection follow-ups.
• Prepare MIS reports, sales updates, project status reports, and forecasts for management.
• Ensure high levels of client satisfaction while identifying opportunities for repeat business and long-term partnerships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in business development and project management within dewatering, shoring, civil construction, or related engineering industries.
• Demonstrated ability to generate new business and achieve sales targets.
• Strong understanding of dewatering systems, site operations, and construction project management.
• Experience preparing technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and contract negotiations.
• Strong commercial and technical understanding of project execution.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while developing new business opportunities.
• UAE experience within construction, infrastructure, or engineering projects is highly preferred.
