MEP Design Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and technically competent MEP Design Engineer to join our engineering/project team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, coordinating, reviewing, and implementing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for building and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review MEP design drawings, layouts, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Design and coordinate HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, fire-fighting, and other MEP systems.
• Develop detailed engineering calculations, equipment schedules, material specifications, and BOQs.
• Coordinate MEP designs with architectural, structural, and civil drawings.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions.
• Ensure designs comply with UAE authority requirements, relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project teams.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve design-related technical issues.
• Identify clashes and coordinate solutions using AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP/BIM.
• Support project teams during construction and commissioning stages.
• Prepare technical reports and maintain proper engineering documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related MEP discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of UAE/GCC experience in MEP design and engineering.
• Strong knowledge of building services and MEP systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
• Experience with Revit MEP/BIM will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of UAE authority regulations and applicable international standards.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Strong coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects/deadlines.
• UAE driving license is an advantage.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with experience in facility management, building construction, HVAC projects, Building AMC, commercial/residential buildings, and MEP contracting will be preferred.
