Project Manager (Hotel Construction Delivery)

Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of luxury hotel development within a major masterplan project in Abu Dhabi. Acting as the Client's representative within the PMC team, the role will oversee all aspects of design coordination, procurement, construction, commissioning, handover, and close-out to ensure project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The successful candidate must possess a strong contractor background and proven experience in the construction and delivery of high-end hospitality projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery

• Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of hotel construction projects from pre-construction through handover.
• Manage main contractors, consultants, specialist subcontractors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with project objectives, contractual requirements, quality standards, and approved budgets.
• Monitor construction progress and implement recovery plans where required to mitigate delays.
• Review and validate contractor programmes, methodologies, resource allocation, and construction strategies.

Contract & Commercial Management

• Administer construction contracts in coordination with commercial and contracts teams.
• Review variations, claims, extension of time submissions, and contractual correspondence.
• Support procurement activities including contractor evaluations and package awards.
• Ensure commercial risks are identified and appropriately managed.

Design & Technical Oversight

• Coordinate with design consultants to ensure design deliverables support project objectives and construction requirements.
• Review technical submittals, shop drawings, material approvals, and value engineering proposals.
• Resolve design interface issues between hotel operators, consultants, contractors, and master developer teams.

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the key point of contact between the Client, hotel operator, consultants, and construction teams.
• Lead project meetings and prepare executive-level progress reports.
• Drive effective communication across multiple disciplines and stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Engineering, or related discipline.
• Master's degree is advantageous.
• Minimum 12-15 years of relevant experience in construction project delivery.
• Minimum 5 years' experience managing hospitality/hotel projects in the UAE or GCC.
• Experience working for a main contractor delivering large-scale hospitality developments is preferred.
• Previous experience within a PMC, client-side, or developer environment is highly desirable.
• Experience delivering luxury hotels, resorts, branded residences, or mixed-use developments.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and project controls.
• Solid knowledge of FIDIC contracts and contract administration.
• Experience with project management software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Strong commercial awareness and risk management capabilities.
• Knowledge of local Abu Dhabi authority requirements and approval processes.

Pay: AED1.00 - AED27,895.33 per month
