Finance Transformation Consultant / Financial Systems Advisor / Finance Modernization Lead

Role Description

Lead enterprise finance transformation and financial systems modernization initiatives by redesigning finance processes, implementing advanced financial technologies, and driving digital innovation that improves operational efficiency, financial governance, and strategic decision-making. This leadership role is responsible for developing finance transformation roadmaps, optimizing financial operating models, implementing enterprise finance systems, and ensuring successful adoption of modern technologies across finance functions. The successful candidate will collaborate with executive leadership, finance, accounting, information technology, enterprise architecture, operations, procurement, human resources, legal, compliance, external consulting partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to align finance modernization initiatives with organizational objectives. The role also involves leading ERP implementation and optimization, financial planning and analysis (FP&A) transformation, financial reporting modernization, business process reengineering, robotic process automation (RPA), cloud finance platform migration, enterprise performance management (EPM), artificial intelligence (AI)-powered financial analytics, Generative AI solutions, predictive forecasting, intelligent automation, governance frameworks, change management, regulatory compliance, data governance, performance measurement, and continuous improvements that strengthen financial controls, improve business agility, accelerate digital transformation, and deliver sustainable long-term business value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA, Master's degree, CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent postgraduate qualification is highly desirable.
• Proven experience as a Finance Transformation Consultant, Financial Systems Advisor, Finance Modernization Lead, Finance Transformation Manager, ERP Finance Consultant, Financial Systems Manager, Enterprise Performance Management Consultant, Business Transformation Consultant, or a similar finance transformation leadership role.
• Strong understanding of finance transformation, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), financial reporting, management accounting, enterprise resource planning (ERP), enterprise performance management (EPM), business process optimization, financial governance, regulatory compliance, digital transformation, and change management.
• Extensive experience leading finance transformation programs, implementing ERP solutions, redesigning finance operating models, automating financial processes, optimizing financial reporting, modernizing budgeting and forecasting, supporting cloud migration, managing enterprise finance projects, and improving operational efficiency across finance organizations.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance, Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, Oracle EPM Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, Workday Financial Management, OneStream, Anaplan, Hyperion, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Microsoft Excel (Advanced), Alteryx, UiPath, Microsoft Power Platform, ServiceNow, Salesforce, Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and enterprise finance technology platforms.
• Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), enterprise performance management, financial consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, financial close processes, treasury operations, tax considerations, data governance, IT governance, and project portfolio management.
• Familiarity with artificial intelligence (AI), Generative AI, large language models (LLMs), intelligent financial planning, predictive analytics, robotic process automation (RPA), process mining, cloud computing, intelligent document processing (IDP), digital finance platforms, and emerging finance technologies is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, consulting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess finance capabilities, identify transformation opportunities, optimize financial processes, develop modernization roadmaps, and provide executive-level recommendations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence CFOs, finance leaders, executive leadership, auditors, technology teams, external consultants, regulators, and cross-functional business units.
• Experience leading multinational finance transformation programs, ERP modernization, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) integration, shared services transformation, finance operating model redesign, cloud finance adoption, or enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives is highly desirable.
• Strong program and project management capabilities with experience managing finance transformation portfolios, governance frameworks, strategic roadmaps, implementation budgets, vendor relationships, cross-functional teams, risks, and multiple concurrent enterprise initiatives.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Project Management Professional (PMP), SAP S/4HANA Finance Certification, Oracle Cloud ERP Certification, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Certification, or equivalent finance and enterprise technology certifications are considered an advantage.
