Junior Accountant

About the Company

E M Square Electrical Contracting & Maintenance LLC is a growing electrical contracting company specializing in electrical installation, maintenance, and infrastructure projects across Abu Dhabi. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain daily accounting records and financial transactions.
• Prepare and record purchase invoices, sales invoices, and payment vouchers.
• Process supplier and subcontractor payments.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports.
• Maintain petty cash and expense records.
• Coordinate with project engineers and procurement regarding project costs.
• Prepare payroll and employee expense reimbursements.
• Ensure proper filing and documentation of accounting records.
• Assist with VAT records and compliance in accordance with UAE regulations.
• Support external auditors and management during financial reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a contracting company is preferable (preferably electrical or construction contracting).
• 1-2- years of accounting experience in the UAE is preferred.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, ERP, or similar).
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience handling project costing and subcontractor accounts.
• Familiarity with construction or electrical contracting documentation.
• Knowledge of LPOs, invoices, payment certificates, and project billing.
