Position Summary
A Logistics Field Representative (LFR) is essentially the "boots on the ground" for a logistics operation out on-site.
Serves as the vital link between Airbus Helicopters (AH) strategy and frontline execution. LFR turns high-level supply chain strategy into daily execution, ensuring that goods move efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively at the client’s site.
Primary on-site (client’s site) for all logistics matters, cultivating strong, professional daily relationships with the customer.
Partner with customer to provide training and guidance on proactive demand forecasting and inventory planning
Rapid Problem Solving- Shipment arrived damaged, documentation missing, inventory shortage, etc. LFR can fix it immediately rather than waiting for email chains.
Gather localized data (e.g., spot systemic or bottleneck issues) to help AH Central teams review, improve and optimize the broader supply chain.
Share the Airbus and industry logistics, warehouse management good practices with the customer.
Primary Responsibilities
On-site Customer Focal Point
Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for all logistics matters, fostering strong, professional daily relationships with client stakeholders.
Demonstrate a proactive, positive, and communicative approach to customer engagement.
Manage customer inquiries efficiently, escalating to specialized Airbus Helicopters departments only when required.
Facilitate seamless collaboration between the customer across all organizational levels and Airbus Helicopters (AH) local and Central stakeholders.
Airbus Helicopters Ambassador
Champion Airbus’s core values, processes, and service standards.
Ensure strict adherence to Airbus protocols and industry best practices.
Quality & Safety Assurance
Enforce full compliance with aviation, quality, and safety regulations.
Validate logistics-level airworthiness, ensuring rigorous verification of essential documentation (e.g., EASA Form 1, Certificate of Conformance).
Embed Human Factors and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention protocols into daily operations.
Maintain up-to-date expertise and strict compliance with Dangerous Goods (DG) regulations.
Logistics Flow Management
Manage the full replenishment lifecycle for non-repairable parts, proactively recommending optimal procurement solutions (new, used, or reconditioned parts).
Oversee the induction of Support Products into the repair and overhaul cycle.
Guide the customer on meticulous physical and electronic archives for all spare and repair documentation.
Part Availability & Planning
Guarantee the timely availability of Support Products (new, repaired, or overhauled) in alignment with End User requirements.
Deliver actionable insights for collaborative forecasting with the customer integrating mission needs, maintenance schedules, and consumption profiles.
Warehouse Activity Supervision
Direct the customer and optimize inbound/outbound stock movement recording.
Direct the customer to conduct regular physical inventory reconciliations to ensure system accuracy.
Guide and support the customer on technical documentation (logcards) and data requirements for parts returning for repair/overhaul.
Promote best practices in logcard management and archive maintenance.
Transport Coordination
Advise on and implement best practices for efficient transport logistics.
Guide the customer transport planning in strict alignment with customer requirements and industry standards.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
Generate and disseminate comprehensive monthly activity reports to customer, local, and Central stakeholders.
Monitor and analyze performance against contractual KPIs in collaboration with the Customer Material Manager (CLM), Customer Support Manager (CSM), and Contract Manager (CM).
Champion the use of Visual Management practices to enhance operational transparency.
Contract Coordination
Serve as the on-site point of accountability for designated contracts.
Harmonize contract execution processes across all operating sites.
Identify and advocate for continuous improvement initiatives to enhance contract value and efficiency.
Secondary Responsibilities
Provide export control guidance to the customer:
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
EU and French Export Regulations
Provide training and guidance to the local Customer Centre front office employees
Required Skills
Qualification & Professional skills
Degree in Supply Chain Management/Logistics Business or related disciplines from a recognized university
Minimum 5 years experience in Supply Chain environment, preferably in the aerospace industry (helicopters experience is preferred)
Proven experience working with customers and stakeholders across all levels including senior management
Capable of operating with high autonomy at client locations, seamlessly balancing multiple objectives across a complex, cross-functional matrix
Communication skills, Critical thinking skills, Problem solving skills
Aerospace technical know-how strongly preferred. Job holder must be able to comprehend the technical specifications of equipment and perform initial assessment of the follow up processes
Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software like SAP, and basic data tools is essential
Skilled in collaborating with customers by providing advisory on demand forecasting and inventory optimization
Proven work experiences to be able to independently assess logistical bottlenecks, manage escalations, and implement immediate, effective solutions in the field
