Job description

A wide range of tasks await your commitment:

As a Software Test Engineer at EPG, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of automated tests for modern software solutions. You will work closely with the Development and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to ensure the long-term quality of our applications and drive continuous improvement.

Your tasks will be as follows:

  • You develop and maintain automated tests, including UI, API, integration, and, where applicable, end-to-end (E2E) tests.
  • You build and maintain test automation frameworks using Java or TypeScript, continuously enhancing and optimizing them.
  • You integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
  • You analyze test results, perform root cause analysis of defects, and document your findings.
  • You collaborate closely with software developers to ensure early quality assurance in line with the Shift-Left testing approach.
  • You support the definition and implementation of test strategies and quality standards.
  • You conduct code reviews with a focus on test automation and software quality.
  • You continuously improve test coverage, test stability, and execution performance.

Your profile includes the following quaifications:

  • You hold a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
  • You have strong programming skills in Java or TypeScript.
  • You have hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, or similar technologies.
  • You have experience testing REST APIs.
  • You have knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control using Git.
  • You have a solid understanding of software architectures and test design principles.
  • You demonstrate strong analytical thinking skills and a structured, detail-oriented approach to work.
  • You are fluent in English. Knowledge of German is considered an advantage.
