Job description

Production Engineer:

  • Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and deadlines.
  • Coordinate production schedules, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
  • Monitor and track the progress of production tasks to meet delivery milestones.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Work closely with procurement teams to source and manage materials for production.
  • Ensure the availability of raw materials and components required for the fabrication process.
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate reordering when necessary to prevent delays.
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures throughout the production process.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address any deviations and implement corrective actions.
  • Liaise with external vendors and suppliers to coordinate the timely delivery of materials.
  • Negotiate terms and agreements with suppliers to optimize costs and maintain quality.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key vendors.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, including material usage and labour hours.
  • Generate reports on production progress, identifying potential bottlenecks and proposing solutions.
  • Prepare documentation for project audits and compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in production or manufacturing, preferably in the aluminium, façade, glazing, or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, production planning, and manufacturing operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; ERP system experience is an advantage.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
