MEP Project Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MEP Project Engineer with minimum 5 years of UAE experience to manage MEP works from project award through handover while ensuring quality, safety, budget and schedule compliance.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage the complete execution of MEP projects from award to final handover, ensuring delivery within budget, schedule, and quality standards.

· Review contract documents, IFC drawings, BOQs, specifications, and ensure compliance with project requirements.

· Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.

· Prepare and review shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, method statements, and technical submissions for consultant approval.

· Supervise site execution of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm, ELV, and Low Current systems in accordance with approved drawings and applicable codes.

· Monitor project progress, manpower, material procurement, subcontractor performance, and resource utilization while resolving technical and site coordination issues.

· Coordinate inspections and approvals with relevant UAE authorities, including DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence (DCD), Dubai Municipality (DM), RTA, Etisalat, du, and other regulatory bodies as required.

· Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, conduct site inspections, coordinate testing & commissioning activities, and ensure successful system handover.

· Prepare project progress reports, maintain technical documentation, and submit as-built drawings, Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals, warranties, and handover documents.

· Monitor project costs, evaluate variations and additional works, and support the commercial team in preparing claims, valuations, and cost reports.

· Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) regulations by promoting safe work practices and conducting regular site safety inspections.

· Lead, mentor, and supervise site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors while maintaining effective communication and coordination with all project stakeholders.

Required Technical Skills

HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm, LV Electrical, ELV, BMS, Lighting Control, AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera, BIM coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years UAE MEP contracting experience.
• UAE Driving License.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Salary (AED/month)8,000 – 10,000 AED

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
