Job description
PRODUCT MANAGER, VERTICAL SOLUTIONS
Location: Lausanne; Cambridge Employment Type: Full time Location Type: Hybrid Department: Vertical Solutions
ABOUT THE ROLE
Neural Concept's Vertical Solutions team turns the most common engineering use cases into streamlined, production-grade workflows powered by leading AI technologies.
As Product Manager or Solution Owner, you will own the product lifecycle for one of our vertical solutions end to end: from discovering customer needs to shipping AI-powered workflows that combine design, simulation, and data science/ML. You'll partner with industry-leading customers to translate real-world engineering problems into a product roadmap, and you'll work hands-on with AI-assisted development tools to move from concept to working prototype fast.
This is a pivotal, cross-functional role: you'll work across product, engineering, and customer-facing teams to make sure what you build actually gets adopted and delivers value.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
-
Own the product roadmap for your vertical solution, from discovery through delivery and iteration.
-
Run customer discovery: lead interviews, validate problem-solution fit, and turn insights into a clear product strategy and backlog.
-
Define and prioritize requirements, write specs, and make the roadmap tradeoffs that keep the team focused on impact.
-
Use AI-based development tools and hands-on prototyping (including scripting) to de-risk ideas quickly and get working solutions in front of customers sooner.
-
Lead and collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of engineers (CAD/CAE/ML) to take solutions from prototype to production-ready.
-
Track adoption and value delivery across customer projects in your vertical, and feed those insights back into the global product roadmap.
-
Align vertical initiatives with overall company strategy.
WHO YOU ARE
-
Proven product management experience: you've owned a product or product area end to end, from discovery to launch to iteration, ideally in an enterprise or technical B2B context.
-
Hands-on with AI-based development: comfortable using AI coding/prototyping tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar) and scripting (Python) to build and test ideas yourself rather than only writing specs for others.
-
Background or exposure to consumer electronics, automotive, turbomachinery, aerospace, semiconductor manufacturing
-
Familiarity with engineering software used in CAD/CAE/PLM workflows (e.g., SolidWorks, NX, ANSYS Mechanical, Abaqus, Teamcenter, or similar).
-
Exposure to end-to-end engineering design processes: requirements, concept, modeling and simulation, validation, release.
-
Strong discovery and customer empathy skills: you can run a great customer interview, synthesize signal from noise, and translate it into a coherent product narrative.
-
Pragmatic, impact-first problem solver: comfortable making tradeoffs, willing to challenge assumptions, and focused on outcomes over process.
-
Comfortable operating cross-functionally with engineering, data science, and customer-facing teams, and able to influence without direct authority.
-
Clear written and verbal communicator, able to align stakeholders across technical and business audiences.
WHAT YOU GET
-
Work with a world-class technology team – our engineers are top-notch, and we always aim for excellence.
-
Benefit from a competitive salary and rewarding opportunities as we continue to scale.
-
Thrive in a collaborative, multicultural environment where your work is visible and recognized.
-
Develop professionally alongside talented colleagues who share knowledge freely and support one another.
-
Make a global impact by helping customers shift to AI-assisted design, making innovation faster, smarter, and more sustainable.
-
Balance life and work with a hybrid model (40% remote) and flexible hours—we care about results, not rigid schedules.
We're proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and we're committed to building a diverse and inclusive environment where you can thrive.
WE'RE PROUD TO BE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER, AND WE'RE COMMITTED TO BUILDING A DIVERSE AND INCLUSIVE ENVIRONMENT WHERE YOU CAN THRIVE.
