Your team:

Our Systems & Applications (S&A) team of the Product Line "In-Vehicle Networking" (PL-IVN) forms the interface between research and development of innovative architectures and system technologies in the field of vehicle connectivity. The latest products are developed in close cooperation with our customers. Creativity is our strength, customer satisfaction our mission. Our team is well recognized within the automotive market as experts and belongs to the cross-industry community that introduces novelties in car networking. The location of this vacancy is Hamburg, Germany.

Your tasks and responsibilities  

  • Responsible for EMC evaluation of Automotive networking products and setups

  • Perform, analyze, and document EMC measurements for product developments and fab transfers

  • Contribution to product definition (with respect to evolving EMC car maker requirements)

  • Lead customer-support related EMC investigations and recommendations

  • Collaborate with product R&D, marketing, and regional teams worldwide

  • Lead and/or contribute to continuous improvement on test methods and test automation

  • Coordinate activities within the EMC experts team

Required and desired skills and experience

  • Strong interest in Automotive electronics, networking technologies, and laboratory EMC testing

  • Good knowledge of electrical measurement techniques, especially on EMC methodologies

  • EMC testing hands-on experience with Automotive products

  • Knowledge of Automotive communication protocols, automotive market incl. semiconductor products and applications

  • Programming skills in Python, C, or C++

  • First experiences in dealing with customers

  • Proven analytical thinking, problem solving, and debug capabilities

Your education and personality

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in related field

  • Good communication skills in English necessary; German is beneficial

  • Self-motivated, curious, and eager to work in a dynamic and international team

  • Work cross-site, cross-cultural, and in cross-functional teams

Please note: The successful candidate may/will be responsible for security related tasks. The assignment may/will be in scope of security certifications, therefore a conscious and reliable way of working is necessary.
