You will act as a strategic partner and problem-solver, working closely with channel chiefs and cross-functional leaders to diagnose issues, design commercial plans, and drive the execution of strategic priorities across all distribution channels. The Senior Manager, Agency Strategy plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the agency distribution agenda for the business. Acting as a key partner to the Chief Agency Officer and Group Agency Distribution, the role drives the design, execution, and tracking of agency strategy, from Business Plan development and strategic deep dives to the delivery of high-impact engagement events across the agency calendar. The incumbent translates strategic priorities into actionable business proposals, launch plans, and compelling narratives, while collaborating closely with internal and Group stakeholders across Digital Enablement, Technology, Finance, Agency, Health & Protection, and Customer pillars to ensure alignment and momentum.

Key Responsibilities:

Agency Strategy

Liaison with Group Agency Distribution: Preparation of monthly dialogue with Group Agency Officer, reporting, follow-up items, and ad hoc requests

Agency Strategy design and execution tracking for Business Plan, deep dives, etc.

Content and storytelling for Agency engagement event: Flying Start, Mid-year charge up, Final Sprint, ALC (2x / year).

Develop business proposals, timelines, and launch plans, and adapt them as needed to maintain momentum and effectiveness: ACR support for narratives + exceptional ACR In-Charge (eg. Mango)

Agency engagement as required: FWC, CEO roundtable, etc.

Collaborate with internal and Group stakeholders across Digital Enablement, Technology, Finance, Agency, Health & Protection, and Customer pillars to align plans

Support CAO to help clear day-to-day roadblocks and expedites processes

 

Team Leadership & Capability Building

Mentor and upskill junior strategy team members, fostering a culture of applied strategic thinking and problem-solving.

Share best practices and lessons learned across the team to build collective capability.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.

8+ years of experience in consulting, applied strategy, agency, finance, or a related field, with a strong track record in agency strategy (insurance/financial services preferred).

Proven track record of diagnosing and solving complex business problems, driving execution, and delivering measurable results.

Strong storytelling and powerpoint skills

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Experience leading cross-functional teams and mentoring junior staff.
