Position Summary
The Agentic AI Business Consultant defines the operating conditions under which RRPS's autonomous AI systems are permitted to act — translating business intent into machine-verifiable constraints, governance policies, and compliance frameworks. Working at the intersection of business strategy, regulatory obligation, and AI capability, this role ensures that every autonomous agent operates within boundaries sanctioned by business owners and validated by governance authorities. The consultant is the primary liaison between the CoE engineering function and stakeholders across corporate functions.
What you will be doing:
AI Business Governance & Authority Design
Define what each AI agent is permitted to do — the actions it may take, financial limits it may authorise, data it may access, and people it may contact — documented in business terms and enforced at runtime.
Translate business rules and risk appetite into governance policies; work with engineers to ensure these are machine-enforceable, not just documented on paper.
Lead structured sign-off reviews at each stage of an agent's journey from supervised pilot to autonomous production — escalating to the right business authority at each step.
Own the approval process for expanding an agent's authority over time; maintain a clear record of who approved what and why.
Prepare and coordinate compliance for AI-assisted production deployments.
Develop and maintain AI system documentation meeting EU AI Act Article 11 & 13 requirements.
Develop AI business cases with quantified benefit models, risk-adjusted ROI, and phased realisation roadmaps.
Present AI initiative proposals to leadership; adapt framing for technical and non-technical audiences.
Build and maintain a stakeholder map across RRPS business units; manage concerns around AI-driven change proactively.
Support the Head of CoE in producing board-level governance reporting on AI business impact, capability maturity, risk posture and regulatory status.
Maintain a prioritised pipeline of AI initiatives scored against business value, feasibility, and risk.
Lead discovery engagements with business units to identify automation and augmentation opportunities.
Produce initiative briefs that define scope, success criteria, governance requirements, and delivery approach for the engineering team.
Track realised business outcomes against benefit cases; maintain a benefits register and escalate variances.
Position requirements:
GDPR and data protection law, including data protection impact assessment (DPIA) methodology for AI systems.
Enterprise AI governance: how to design meaningful human oversight into AI systems, not just document it.
Field service, fleet management, or industrial operations contexts — prior exposure to the RRPS domain is an advantage.
Technical Skills Required
AI governance frameworks: working knowledge of NIST AI Risk Management Framework, ISO/IEC 42001, and AI Act obligations.
Business process analysis and modelling: BPMN, value stream mapping, or equivalent — sufficient to document AI workflows and decision logic.
Data analysis and reporting: Excel, Power BI, or equivalent — for benefit tracking, compliance dashboards, and initiative pipeline management.
Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms: Azure AI, Anthropic Claude, or Google Vertex AI — sufficient to scope initiatives and assess feasibility; deep technical expertise is not required.
Ability to situate AI initiatives within broader enterprise technology strategy — experience with enterprise architecture methods is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Business, Law, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
5+ years in management consulting, enterprise architecture, or AI strategy roles.
Experience delivering AI governance frameworks or compliance programmes in regulated industries.
Fluency in English. In addition fluency in German would be beneficial.
Certified in a recognised governance or risk framework (e.g. ISO 42001, CIPP/E, Prince2, or equivalent).
EU AI Act: high-risk system classification, conformity assessment, and transparency obligations for AI systems affecting workers.
German labour law and Betriebsrat consultation obligations is a plus — practical experience navigating co-determination in technology deployment.
