Senior FPGA Designer - Deep Tech Industry - Long Term B2B / Freelancing

Incredible opportunity to join a deep tech pioneer in the creation of their new product and take ownership of the process. It's a unique role allowing you to join a team of expert FPGA designers and verification engineers whilst also acting as a leader and coaching the team around you to help them build a cutting-edge control stack for industrial scale quantum computers.

Contract: 6 month rolling

Location : South Holland (2-3 days onsite per week)

To be successful in this role you must have proven expertise as a Senior FPGA/RTL Designer with experience in Senior/Leadership roles.

Key/Skills Responsibilities

• Working knowledge of either Xilinx Vivado or Intel FPGA Quartus and VHDL
• Understand/evaluate requirements, help design solutions and implement them in VHDL
• Be a sparring partner to a diverse team of FPGA and embedded software engineers
• Constantly try to find better ways of doing things - be pro-active with proposing your ideas or relevant new developments from the ASIC/FPGA field
• Processor and bus-system architecture (e.g. AMBA AXI, Avalon,etc)
• High-end simulator tools (e.g. Mentor Graphics QuestaSim)
• Some scripting ability (python, tcl/tk, shell)

Desired Skills

• Xilinx Zynq-7000 / Ultrascale+/RFSoC
• (System)Verilog
• Verification frameworks (preferably UVM, but also OVM, OSVVM, Cocotb,etc)
• Timing closure methods
• Linux kernel module development
• C/C++
