MK Concept for Illumination is a UAE-based company specializing in comprehensive lighting solutions from design through supply and installation. We serve commercial, architectural, hospitality, and government projects across the UAE with a broad portfolio of European and locally manufactured products.

Role Overview

We are looking for a commercially strong and technically credible Sales Engineering Manager to drive project growth across the UAE. This role combines commercial leadership with technical authority — not a generic sales profile, but an engineering-minded professional who can manage the full project lifecycle from design-stage specification through commercial closure.

The right candidate will be mature, organized, confident in front of clients, and capable of managing the pressure of follow-up, coordination, negotiation, and execution simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full project sales cycle from design-stage specification through approval and commercial closure
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with engineering consultants, interior designers, architects, contractors, developers, and direct clients
  • Identify and track project opportunities from early design stage through execution with a disciplined and organized pipeline
  • Promote and present tailored lighting solutions for commercial, hospitality, government, and high-end office projects
  • Prepare quotations, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), technical submissions, and commercial follow-up documentation
  • Coordinate with the in-house design team to deliver LUX / EVO / LDP lighting calculations as part of technical proposals
  • Attend client meetings, site meetings, and project coordination discussions; represent the company professionally at all levels
  • Push projects consistently toward specification, approval, supply, and closure with structured follow-up
  • Monitor market activity and competitor landscape; provide strategic input to management on portfolio development
  • Lead the sales team, set quarterly and annual targets, and ensure consistent achievement

Educational Qualifications

Either of the following is fully accepted:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering — preferred for technical credibility with consultants and lighting calculations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing — preferred for key account management and sales strategy
  • Professional certifications in lighting (LC) or sales (CPSM) are a strong advantage
  • Significant field experience (7+ years) in the sector may substitute for a formal degree

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 8 years of UAE project sales experience in Lighting, Electrical, MEP, Fit-out, or Building Materials.
  • Proven network of consultants, interior designers, architects, and contractors within the UAE market
  • Ability to read BOQs, technical drawings, and specifications; produce professional technical proposals
  • Technical understanding of lighting systems: LED, DALI Control Systems, Linear Lighting, Track Systems
  • Strong negotiation and deal-closing skills with experience managing long and complex sales cycles
  • Commercially aggressive yet technically credible in front of engineers, consultants, and designers
  • Fluent English communication skills (spoken and written) — Arabic is a strong advantage
  • Valid UAE driving license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with recognized lighting brands such as OSRAM, Linea Light, LEDVANCE, Fosnova, or equivalent
  • Background in Hospitality, Government, or High-end Commercial / Mixed-use projects
  • Familiarity with lighting calculation software: LDP, EVO, or DIALux
  • Understanding of LEED certification and energy efficiency requirements in lighting design
  • Specification sales experience — engaging consultants and designers at the design stage to secure product approval

Candidate Profile

  • Commercially driven with genuine technical credibility in front of engineers, consultants, and designers
  • Organized and disciplined — able to manage a large pipeline with multi-party follow-up simultaneously
  • Confident and professional in client presentations and executive meetings
  • Capable of handling the full pressure of follow-up, coordination, negotiation, and execution concurrently

Pay: AED12,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per month
